Japanese Cuisine -serving healthy living- hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On February 10, 2022, a special masterclass was held at Mamalu kitchen, Nakheel Mall Palm Jumeira Dubai, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan. It has been about 9 years since Washoku was registered as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. As people around the world become more health conscious, Japanese food is becoming widely popular throughout the world.

This event was featured Japanese recipes that can be prepared at home and Arabic recipes that use Japanese products so that people can become familiar with Japanese food in their daily lives.

Mr. Shiro Ohkubo, a Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador, Managing Director and General Manager of Summit Trading Company L.L.C., introduced the charm of Japanese foods. There were two cooking demonstrations using Japanese products; grilled yellowtail with salt, which is widely known in Japan as a fish that brings good fortune and wishes for success in life, and Japanese-inspired curry-flavored falafel. Also, the participants enjoyed the experience of cooking sushi rolls.

Mr. Shiro Ohkubo says: This event was an opportunity to introduce Japanese food and recipes using Japanese ingredients readily available in Dubai.

One of the participants said, The food was amazing. It tasted like falafel, but in a different way that can be easily made at home its different but authentic. I love the whole idea and concept of making Japanese Cuisine at home and using Japanese alternative recipes in both of my own cooking and the recipes I've learned today..

The other said, The concept is great and we're looking forward to finding Japanese products everywhere with affordable prices.
