Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his two-day visit to Kerala from yesterday. This will be his first to the state after assuming office as in May last year.
Soon after his arrival at Kochi, PM Modi left by helicopter for Thrissur to address a meeting of BJP workers at 5 pm.
After the meeting, PM Modi will returned to Kochi and stayed there .
Today, the Prime Minister will receive a tri-service guard of honour at INS Garuda and inaugurate the Combined Tri-Services Commanders Conference.
PM Modi will also visit the Sivagiri Mutt and pay homage at the samadhi of social reformer Sree Narayana Guru and offer floral tributes and plant a sapling.
