Twin-column chromatography or Multicolumn Countercurrent Solvent Gradient Purification (MCSGP) is a continuous chromatographic process which collects a high purity center cut fraction and internally recycles mixed impurity/product-containing side fractions all while loading fresh feed and discarding impurities (see diagram).

This technology offers several advantages over traditional batch purification including:
