How It Compares
Compared to standard ceramic tea cups, this melamine set eliminates the perpetual risk of chipped rims and broken handles that plague fragile crockery. While typical glass mugs are heavy and demand delicate handling, these melamine cups are lightweight and comfortable for small children to grip independently. In comparison to cheap plastic drinkware that tends to warp or leach smells over time, Cello’s food-grade composition handles boiling liquids up to 140°C safely. However, unlike ceramic or borosilicate glass, melamine drinkware is strictly not suitable for microwave reheating, which requires you to warm beverages in a pot or separate vessel beforehand. At under ₹65 per mug in this bundle, it easily outperforms generic supermarket plastic ware in build quality, safety certifications, and visual finish.
