CabinBookers Twitter Poll: Forests Voted Favourite Natural Feature

York, United Kingdom, June 10, 2019 –(PR.com)– A Twitter Poll conducted by log cabin holiday specialist CabinBookers reveals that forests are the favourite place for people to feel at one with nature.

The recent survey asked the question “Where do you feel most connected to nature?” and gave Twitter users the choice of 4 natural features; a forest, beach, mountain, or lake.

Forests emerged as the respondents favourite, way out in front with 45% of the vote, while the second largest group at 30% said that mountain landscapes best connected them to the natural world.

However, with just 13% and 12% of the total vote respectively, the calming waters of a lake and the wild beauty of beaches failed to strike a chord with Twitter’s audience.

The choice of forests seems to give further credence to the Japanese activity of “forest bathing,” which is rapidly growing in popularity. Several scientific studies have also previously demonstrated the beneficial health effects of being in a plant and tree rich environment.
