Congratulations to Professor Alain Chong for being rated as one of ‘the 2019 Most Cited Researchers in China’

NINGBO, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Professor Chong has published many articles in various reputable journals, and is an active member of the information systems community.

Professor Alain Chong was born in London, England and grew up in England, Malaysia and Indonesia. He is a Professor in Information Systems at Nottingham University Business School China (NUBS China) and the Dean of Graduate School at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). Before joining UNNC, Alain was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was also an Associate Professor at INTI International University Malaysia, where among other responsibilities he helped the university to develop the Network and Mobile Computing Degree and was an academic lead of the Cisco Academy.

Alain has published over 100 articles and was a recipient of the 2012 Ten Outstanding Young Malaysian Award conferred by Junior Chamber International. He was named as one of the Most Cited Chinese Researchers since 2015 by the Elsevier Scopus database. He has received more than RMB 2 million in funding for various research projects from the HK General Research Fund, the Royal Society, the National Natural Fund of China, and the Malaysia Fundamental Research Grant Scheme.

He is currently the co-editor of the Journal of Industrial Management & Data Systems (SCI, ABDC A and ABS level 2), Senior Editor of the Journal of Decision Support Systems (ABS Level 3 and ABDC A*) and Associate Editor of Information & Management (ABS level 3 and ABDC A*) and Journal of Computer Information Systems (ABDC A).

Alain also serves as a doctoral supervisor and has trained many outstanding doctoral students. Xu Bojue, one of his doctoral students said, "I am lucky to be Alain's doctoral student.
