CyberLink FaceMe AI Facial Recognition Earns 99.7% Accuracy Rate, High Ranking on Industry-Leading NIST Leaderboard

TAIPEI, Taiwan–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a pioneer in AI and facial recognition technologies, announced its FaceMe® AI facial recognition engine has achieved prominent ranking on the NIST FRVT 1:1 (Facial Recognition Vender Test), known as the foremost authority on facial recognition precision within the industry and around the world.

With FaceMe®’s highly precise algorithm, CyberLink was ranked 8th in the world, when excluding vendors from countries facing limitations such as China and Russia. The FVRT 1:1 test results recently released in March 2020 reveal CyberLink FaceMe® achieves a 99.70% accuracy rate in VISA 1E-4, and 97.17% in WILD 1E-4, two of the leading facial recognition precision assessments. Globally, FaceMe® is ranked 18th in the world.

“Since its release, CyberLink’s FaceMe® has consistently achieved high rankings in leading worldwide industry assessments,” said Dr. Jau Huang, CEO of CyberLink. “FaceMe® is seeing strong improvement compared to our previous NIST benchmarks, up 45% in accuracy rate, anchoring its prominent ranking in all testing criteria. Thanks to our strong precision standings and unparalleled integration flexibility across edge devices, FaceMe® continues to be the best fit for AIoT deployment.”

FaceMe’s® edge-based architecture empowers powerful, efficient processing, and higher levels of security compared to Cloud-based solutions. It supports more than 10 operating systems, including Windows, Android, iOS, and various Linux distributions such as Ubuntu x86, Ubuntu ARM, RedHat, CentOS, Yocto, Debian and JetPack. FaceMe® can run on low-power CPUs to enable facial recognition on cost-effective IoT/AIoT devices, as well as be integrated with high-end servers, workstations and personal computers equipped with GPU to provide highly efficient performance. FaceMe’s® high accuracy, flexibility and security makes it the leading facial recognition engine available on the market today.
