Dreamtonics Announces Vocoflex, a New Voice Morphing Tool That Creates Singing Voices in Real-time

TOKYO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dreamtonics Co., Ltd. (“Dreamtonics” or the “Company”) announces that it is currently developing Vocoflex, a voice processing plug-in that can create a variety of singing voices.

Dreamtonics is best known for developing and marketing Synthesizer V, a next-generation singing voice synthesis software that utilizes AI technology, and VOICEPEAK, a text-to-speech synthesizer. With Vocoflex, the Company is developing a highly innovative project that allows the transformation of any singing voice into new, user-customized voices. Users can define the target voice profile either by importing a voice sample as brief as 10 seconds or using a feature that randomly generates voices based on user-specified gender and tone.

Vocoflex is being developed as a music production tool, but Dreamtonics recognizes the potential for misuse for purposes other than intended. As a result of consultations with Dreamtonics’ domestic and international partners, to comply with ethical AI technology use and to maintain clear moral and legal boundaries, Vocoflex features tamper-proof watermarks that identify the creator of the transformed voices. Additionally, the Company is considering implementing stringent identity verification processes for users of Vocoflex.
