Freedom 251 Specification Review: World’s Cheapest Smartphone

It’s�Unbelievable when I saw today’s TimesofIndia full page Ad by Ringing Bells Pvt. Ltd. The Ad was regarding the launch of World’s Cheapest most affordable 3G Smartphone Freedom 251 which is priced at Rs.251 ($3.66)

In terms of Specification the Freedom 251 comes with a 4 inch (10.2 cms) qHD IPS display, at this price point we don’t think it will comes with Gorilla Glass. Freedom 251 has two camera’s one 3.2 MP on back and one .3 MP Camera on front for selfie. Freedom 251 with its inbuilt touchless technology is Ideal for perfect Selfie. For Selfie lovers life just got a little easier.

The Smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quadcore Processor capable of fast and responsive performance. We are petty sure that it wont be Snapdragon processor, it will be a Quadcore processor by Mediatek. For Multi taking its equipped with 1GB of RAM. For all your storage it gives a 8GB Internal memory and you can use a Micro-SD (upto 32GB), if you feel that 8GB is not enough.

With its 1450 mAh battery, we don’t feel 1450 mAh battery is enough for a 3G Smartphone. We doubt, it can give you a full day life to your Smartphone. You may need to buy a Powerbank which may cost more than this Smartphone.

The phone will be equipped with inbuilt GPS and Wifi. There is no clue on sensors.

Regarding the OS, its Android 5.1 Lollipop, We hope it will be pure AOSP without much customization. You may find some pre-installed apps like
