The Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, recently invited Dima to Taiwan to explore the island’s cultural and natural landscapes with his usual curiosity and adventurous spirit.

During his 5-day trip, Dima visited many parts of central and southern Taiwan, including Taichung, Yunlin, Chiayi, Kaohsiung and Pingtung. His first stop was the Zhongshe Flower Farm in Taichung, where visitors admire the stunning and vibrant flower fields all year round. Another stop was Yunlin’s Beigang Chaotian Temple in Yunlin, one of the most admired of Taiwan’s Mazu temples. Its century-old design highlights the classical beauty of traditional craftsmanship. In Kaohsiung, Dima visited the Lotus Pond’s Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, giant deity sculptures that represent a blend of traditional beliefs and leisure culture. Other stops included Taichung’s Green Park Road, the painted streets of Chiayi’s Haomei Village, and Kaohsiung’s Pier-2 Art Center. The latter showcases a vibrant creativity and passion for the cultural arts. Dima also experienced Taiwan’s famous traditional night markets, including the surprising and delicious food of Kaohsiung’s Ruifeng Night Market. Afterward, he enjoyed a splendid and romantic night view of Kaohsiung’s Love River.

Taiwan, known as the “kingdom of bicycles,” also promotes bicycle tourism internationally. He explored Taiwan’s bicycle paths and marveled at the bicycle-friendly designs and beautiful landscapes. He traveled the world-renowned Sun Moon Lake Cycling Trail, capturing the breathtaking scenery that left a deep impression on him. A first-time visitor to Taiwan, Dima was curious about the island’s cultural landscape and natural beauty. With his usual lighthearted and humorous style, he documented his observations, experiences and emotions as he traveled through many parts of Taiwan.
