Guangming Science City in Shenzhen Recruits Top-notch Doctoral Talent Globally

SHENZHEN, China–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Guangming Science City (GSC), located in Shenzhen, southern China, has launched a large-scale recruitment plan for top-notch doctoral talent worldwide recently.

The plan, titled “Call for urgently needed talent in GSC” and the 3rd “Gathering Ten Thousand Ph.Ds in GSC” event, is collectively announced by more than forty universities, research institutes, enterprises, and other entities in GSC. It includes recruitment needs for around a thousand talents, covering positions such as researchers, engineers, post-doctoral fellows, R&D scientists, technical experts, and professors in research institutions, and very attractive remuneration packages are available.

As a grand plan undertaken through collaboration between Guangming District in Shenzhen and various local institutions, the plan aimed at further accelerating the development of Guangming Science City.

Talents meeting the criteria outlined in the “Catalog for the Introduction of Urgently Needed and Shortageable Talent in Guangming Science City”, who are successfully introduced to GSC through this event, with an on-the-job tenure of over six months, are eligible for a one-time living allowance of 50,000 RMB. Additionally, they can avail services related to housing, education, legal matters, finance, culture and sports, accommodation, dining, and government affairs.

Furthermore, candidates applying for postdoctoral positions who choose to remain in the same unit to continue research on the current project are generally eligible for a 3-year living allowance of 100,000 RMB per year. This support aims to assist talents in innovation, entrepreneurship, and settling down in GSC. For detailed benefits, talents may consult to confirm based on the actual policy.

Guangming Science City is located in Guangming District, Shenzhen. As the youngest administrative district in Shenzhen, Guangming District has been entrusted with the mission of building a “world-class science city and the northern center of Shenzhen” since its establishment in 2018.
