Hero Motocorp opens world-class traffic training park in Hyderabad

Hero MotocorpAs part of its ongoing endeavour to inculcate road safety and good riding habits among its customers and the public at large, Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL), the world�s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, today opened a state-of-the-art Traffic Training Park in Begumpet, in association with the local Traffic Police here.

Mr. M. Mahendar Reddy (IPS), Commissioner Police, Hyderabad inaugurated the Traffic Park, in the presence of Mr. Jitender (IPS), Additional CP-Traffic and Mr. Vijay Sethi, Chief Information Officer & Head, CSR, Hero MotoCorp.

Other senior executives from Hero MotoCorp, including Mr. Rajesh Mukhija, AVP, and Mr. Mahesh Hiremath, Zonal Head (South), along with the Hero Safety Team were present on the occasion. The event was also attended by senior police officers and the Principals and students of several schools in the city.

This Traffic Park is aimed at generating awareness about road safety norms among school students in Hyderabad. The trained Safety Instructors deputed at the TT Park shall regularly conduct road safety awareness programs for school students registered under the Road Safety Club.

With its unique riding simulators, the training park will offer a structured, highly-efficient learning environment to students. The park will impart theoretical as well as practical training to create awareness about road safety and enhance riding skills of the learners.

As a pioneer in the safety riding activities in the country and following the theme of �Greener, Safer, Equitable World� Hero MotoCorp is committed to drive home the message of road safety and healthy environment. The safety riding education is made an integral part of the vehicle delivery at all Hero dealerships.

Under the aegis of its CSR initiative, Ride Safe India, Hero MotoCorp conducts nationwide programs to promote road safety. These programs are designed keeping in mind Hero philosophy of delivering safety with products that it manufactures.

Hero MotoCorp has been actively working with the state traffic police in several states to conduct ride-safe training programs. Being a responsible corporate citizen, �Safety� is an integral aspect of every realm of operations at Hero. Through its widespread pan-India dealer network, Hero engages with customers to inculcate road safety awareness.

Hero MotoCorp has already adopted Traffic Parks in Gurgaon, Delhi, Rourkela and Lucknow, which are equipped with Riding Simulators and other state-of-the-art facilities, where the trained Safety Instructors conduct Road Safety awareness programs for school/college students and other institutions along with local Traffic Police on a regular basis.

These efforts from Hero MotoCorp are supplementary to the efforts of local Traffic Police, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways to reduce Road Traffic injuries and save precious human lives.

In association with Haryana Police, Hero MotoCorp has also started a Student Police Cadets (SPC) programme, which has been a resounding success since its inception. Students from 50 schools in Gurgaon have enrolled in activities that will inculcate respect for law and community skills, and instil social values, while providing participants with physical fitness training.

Hero has also introduced a Mobile Safety Van, which travels across the city, and ensures access to students at remote locations, thus expanding the reach of the programs.

Hero MotoCorp also organises exclusive Ride Safe Programs on a regular basis for many leading corporates across India to enhance safety of their two-wheeler users.
