Industry Veteran Rohan Houlden Appointed CEO of Gallium Semiconductor

Mr. Rohan Houlden brings over 30 years experience in driving new product development and revenue growth at semiconductor companies including Akoustis Technologies and Qorvo, Inc.

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Gallium Semiconductor, an innovative supplier of RF Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductor solutions, today announced the appointment of Rohan Houlden as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. As CEO, Mr. Houlden will focus on expanding Gallium Semi’s product offering and driving its revenue growth.

Mr. Houlden brings over 30 years of industry experience having served in leadership positions across various semiconductor companies, most recently as Chief Product Officer at Akoustis Technologies. During his tenure, he led product strategy and product development, and played a pivotal role in establishing Akoustis as a high volume supplier of RF BAW filters for WiFi Access Points, 5G infrastructure, 5G mobile, and other applications. Prior to Akoustis, Mr. Houlden served as General Manager of the Connectivity Business Unit at Qorvo, Inc.

As the newly appointed CEO of Gallium Semi, Mr. Houlden will succeed Mr. Kin Tan, who will continue to serve as an advisor to the company.
