Jaclyn Jordan's S/S '18 'In The Garden' Wedding Dress Collection: An Artistic Contrast Of Nature

New York-based Bridal Gown Designers Nine Piece Collection Hits Top Trends for Brides with Inspiration from the Black Iris and German Impressionist Painter

Online PR News 06-May-2017 On April 22, 2017, Jaclyn Jordan presented her Spring/Summer 2018 bridal gown collection at New Yorks Couture Bridal Market. Jaclyn's nine piece collection presents a contrast of nature, inspired by the black iris and German Impressionist painter, Leo Putz. The spring blooms rich color meets with Putzs gentle palette and free brush strokes in an artistic contrast, resulting in Jaclyns soft, yet powerfully confident collection of gowns.

The Ginger gown, the centerpiece of the collection, exemplifies Jaclyns artistic eye, and hits the blue gown trend with its hand-dyed, ombre hem in rich, lapis blue. Made in beaded embroidery with three dimensional flowers, the Ginger gowns softness and fluidity is juxtaposed with the bold ombre color that surprises your eye at the hem.

Jaclyns fresh and original vision for her Spring/Summer 2018 collection also follows the en plein air" style of the Impressionists, who used light, reflections and light fracturing to express a varied use of color. A silver-blue charmeuse Lily gown, with English net overlay and flounce at the neckline, plays with the subtle gradient of color from white to silver, offering brides a dramatic wedding day option without totally abandoning traditional white.

The fluid fabrics, intricate laces and warm color palette of soft ivories and silver in Jaclyn Jordans designs also play with light and the transient effects of sunlight through her gowns, subtly revealing the body, also a signature of the en plein air" style. Rose, an open back Guipure lace gown with cold shoulder sleeve detail, and the Freesia 3/4 length sleeve, lace body suit with lace wrap skirt, offer brides two beautiful options to infuse a bit of sexy, without revealing too much. They are also prime examples of the combination of Jaclyns design and her inspirations, and reflect the Guipure lace, cold shoulder, and 3D floral bridal trends.

The softly sophisticated gowns and separates, with scalloped edges, three-dimensional florals, and hand-placed lace appliqus, invoke a gentler time that inspired all of the Impressionist painters. We invite you to take a walk In The Garden with Jaclyn. The gown collection retails from $1,758.00, and is available in select bridal boutiques across the US.
