OSAKA, Japan–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Kansai region, which includes unique cities of Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto, is a massive market with a population of 24.65 million people and a GDP of approximately 100.05 trillion yen. It equals the metropolitan area centered on Tokyo as a site for business and plays the central role in the economy of Western Japan.

As the host city of the next World Expo in 2025, Osaka has been a hot spot for startups attracting various companies and people from all over the world.

Boosting up innovation movement, Global Innovation Conference Hack Osaka Executive Committee* will host Startup Business Meetings from February 8^th (Tue) to 9^th (Wed), co-organized by Osaka Prefecture, as one of the programs of Annual Global Innovation Conference, Hack Osaka 2022.

* The committee composes of Osaka City, Urban Innovation Institute, JETRO Osaka, and Osaka Business Development Agency.

In 2022, with the themes of “Next-Generation Air Mobility” and “Infrastructure”, a talk session between companies engaging in eVTOL development, reverse pitch by corporations in Kansai region, and global pitch contest Hack Award 2022 are waiting to be streamed.
