The Johannesburg event will be led by Paul Wheelhouse CEng, MIET,M Inst. AM, BSc (Hons) UMIST. Wheelhouse is a chartered electrical engineer. After studying physics at UMIST in the UK, he then worked in the specialty chemicals business for 18 years working in a variety of engineering, production and distribution roles at several locations in Europe. A large part of his time was devoted to improving the performance of plant, work processes and the functioning of groups.

Paul has been engaged in asset management, maintenance and reliability consulting for the past twenty years. This has involved helping clients to enhance return on assets by improved equipment reliability, reduced working capital and more effective use of labour. His assignments have been across a wide range of industries located in Europe, Middle East, African, North America and the Far East. During this time he has worked for over 60 blue chip companies in mining, processing, power generation, utilities, metals, chemicals & transportation.

As for the Port of Spain event in Trinidad and Tobago, Joel Levitt, a leading trainer for maintenance professionals will be leading the event. Levitt has trained more than 15,000 maintenance leaders from 3000 organizations in 20+ countries in over 500 sessions. Since 1980 he has been the President of Springfield Resources, a management consulting firm that services clients of all sizes on a wide range of maintenance issues.

Levitt has 25 years of experience in many facets of maintenance including process control design, source equipment inspector, electrician, field service technician, maritime operations and property management. Prior to that, Levitt worked for a CMMS vendor and as an owner/manager in a manufacturing firm.
