Matcha Direct is an e-commerce service that allows customers to order ground-to-order fresh matcha from a tea factory in Kyoto. This means that from the moment your order is received, they make the matcha. It is available for both home and professional use.

As matcha quality is affected by the passage of time after production, they have been hesitant to offer matcha to customers outside of Japan. Matcha Direct can ship freshly ground, high-quality matcha tea from their factory in Kyoto in as little as three business days. And, thanks to the infrastructure for cross-border e-commerce via air transportation now in place, they deliver freshly ground matcha straight to their customers.

Customers in the US can enjoy the original flavor of matcha, unaffected by oxidation and so incredibly fresh that many tea connoisseurs in Japan are unable to experience. The service launched in February 2023.
