Korean Hair and Body Care Brand ‘Nard’ Expands into Taiwan Market

– Winning the Best Korea Consumer Appraisal Brand award in the hair and body care category in 2021, Nard leaps forward as a global beauty care brand

DAEGU, South Korea–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#BeautyCareNard, a hair and body care brand of Breathe B International, announced that it started the official sales of its products in Taiwan in partnership with TI & MOPH.

Nard is a nature-oriented brand that develops healthy cosmetics using nard, an herb growing naturally in clean regions of the Himalayas with a tenacious life force. Nard demonstrated conspicuous achievements and growth in Korea by winning awards in the hair and body care category from Hwahae’, a typical beauty application service in Korea, five times and the Best Korea Consumer Appraisal Brand award (hair and body care category) in 2021.

Building on successful performance in Korea, Nard is recently rolling out new products in diverse categories, including skincare, freshener and living goods. By kicking off full-fledged efforts to expand its businesses in Taiwan, the company is expected to take a leap in becoming a globally-recognized beauty brand. Especially, for the systematic expansion to the Taiwanese market, Nard will cooperate with TI & MOPH, which has partnered with various Korean beauty companies to support their efforts for global expansion.

TI & MOPH is a K-beauty start-up that built global sales and marketing capabilities while exporting over 120 Korean cosmetics brands since 2018 to emerging post-China markets, such as Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia and the United States.

“We often witnessed that brand values of some Korean cosmetics failed to make steady growth in the global market due to indiscreet price competition among overseas resellers. Growth in overseas markets is important, but it should be supported by continuous management,” said Jae-min Kim, CEO of TI & MOPH. “Core value of TI & MOPH is to help Korean brands keep sustainable growth in overseas markets.”

TI & MOPH supports partner brands through its hidden tag technology that prevents illegal distribution of the Korean products for export in Korea as well as services of monitoring and managing sales prices of Korean products in overseas markets. Providing marketing solutions using more than 2,500 overseas beauty influencers dedicated to it, TI & MOPH helps a large number of brands in Korea expand into overseas markets.
