Litum Named Best Tech Company of 2018

Izmir Institute Technology�s High Technology Awards was given to the IoT company based on its excellence in development and innovation.

Izmir, Turkey, November 02, 2019 –(PR.com)– Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH Technopark) has awarded Litum as the “Best Tech Company of 2018.” The company was selected from a pool of high technology leaders throughout Turkey.

“High Technology Awards” provided by Techopark ?zmir, part of Izmir Institute of Technology, celebrate excellence in development of high technology and innovation. As part of its mission to recognize and further technology development, Teknopark each year selects top performing technology companies during the year.

Litum, a developer of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, offers a broad range of high tech systems that include industrial IoT, RTLS, RFID systems since 2004. Today the company’s solutions are in use in 35 countries, and its customers include Fortune 500 firms and governmental institutions including Bosch, Ferrero, General Electric, Metro Paris and Schneider Electric.

Litum specializes in indoor location tracking services (RTLS) for industry 4.0 and healthcare sectors. Users can benefit from the solutions by maximizing efficiency and safety (e.g. forklift collision prevention and lone worker safety). The company’s technology differentiates itself from competitors with its sub-meter location accuracy (about 20 centimeters), leading it to outperform similar technologies.

Among its solutions is an RTLS system that ensures workers safety for hundreds of underground construction workers in the Paris Metro. “This has been a key success in international arena,” says Alp Ulku, Litum’s Business Development Director, providing one more example that Litum has a widening network throughout the world. “Litum is on a mission to make our clients’ potential a reality.”

IZTECH Technology Awards are judged by a committee of experts from ?zmir Institute of Technology, Ministry of Science and Industry, and ?zmir Development Agency with an emphasis on local capacity in high technology development.
The award ceremony was held in the IZTECH Campus on October 19.
