Lubrizol Launches FlowGuard® Plus Mobile App to Enhance Skills and Benefit Plumbers

FlowGuard Plus’s first app will provide rewards, opportunities to increase skill level, and grow businesses for the plumber community in India

MUMBAI, India–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lubrizol Advanced Materials and FlowGuard® Plus CPVC Plumbing systems, the largest manufacturers and inventors of CPVC compound worldwide, today announced the launch of a new mobile app, FlowGuard Plus. This new app is designed to provide training and education on new disciplines, and reward plumbers for in-app engagement. The app will initially be targeted to the plumbing community in India, a growing market for new construction, including CPVC applications.

This new interactive platform brings together the plumber community across India, allows them to build their network, creates awareness about new plumbing technologies, and upgrades their plumbing skills through training modules. Along the way, engaged plumbers will be able to become certified and earn rewards for completed training modules.

The FlowGuard Plus app will be available for free download through Google Play stores in early September, with availability on the Apple app store soon thereafter.

Since 2003, Lubrizol has been committed to training thousands of plumbers annually to ensure quality FlowGuard piping installation. The key objective of the new FlowGuard Plus app is to accelerate the skill development of plumbers in India, which will build their businesses and improve their ability to serve their customers. Moreover, it will provide plumbers an opportunity to earn rewards while they learn new skills. With this launch, Lubrizol will assist the National Skill Development Council (NSDC) by training plumbers over the next five years to meet the growing demand and close the skill gap in the country.
