Manish Goel Makes Bigg Boss 20 Headlines as Corporate Leadership Shifts Unfold

Actor Manish Goel has taken center stage on national television after entering the Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 20 as its first official wildcard contestant. On Day 58 of the broadcast, Goel chose to give up an opportunity to earn an extra lifeline in the competition, relinquishing his personal game advantage so that fellow contestant Qazi Touqeer could receive a message from his family.

The decision unfolded during a high-stakes family task where housemates were required to choose between advancing their individual game strategy or prioritizing emotional connections for others. Goel was among several housemates who chose empathy over tactical advantage. Contestant Kushal Tanwar similarly gave up a personal benefit to ensure another participant received news from home, while Gullu sacrificed his own chance to assist Kanika Mann. Daily household tension also flared during the episode when Arishfa upset Amrapali over kitchen hygiene standards.

The high-pressure environment inside the house quickly turned physical during a captaincy task, leading to medical complications on set. Reports confirm that Manish Goel suffered an asthma attack amid an intense physical altercation between contestants Gullu and Yung DSA. The incident comes at a critical juncture in the competition, with 11 contestants remaining following the exit of Aasif Khan, who became the latest contestant to walk out of the show. Reports suggest Kanika Mann could emerge as the house’s next captain as the remaining participants compete to enter the top 10.

Outside the show, Goel’s wildcard entry triggered intense social media commentary, prompting a firm response from his family. His son publicly slammed social media trolls for targeting their family online, asserting that basic decency should never be lost regardless of reality TV drama. Goel entered the show with a television career spanning decades, having built a mark through roles in major series such as Anupamaa, Bhabhi, Just Mohabbat, CID, Ghar Ek Mandir, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, and Mehndi Tere Naam Ki. He also won the reality series Welcome Baazi Mehmaan Nawazi Ki and competed on Nach Baliye Season 1, having maintained a focus on playing varied roles to break showbiz stereotypes.

Corporate Executive Leadership Changes

In corporate developments, real estate advisory firm Colliers India named Manish Goel to lead its pan-India project management operations. Colliers stated that the industry veteran brings over three decades of executive experience across real estate, business advisory, and hospitality, with established expertise in directing complex construction and development projects across the country.

Meanwhile, leisure hospitality firm Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India disclosed a key executive transition to market regulators. Chief People Officer Manish Goel submitted his resignation, which takes effect on November 2, 2026. In an official filing made under SEBI Regulation 30 regarding changes in Senior Management Personnel, the company confirmed that Goel resigned to pursue external professional opportunities.
