MATRIX Announces “Hatsum?de” Metaverse World Creation Contest

TOKYO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–MATRIX Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Junichi Goishi; hereinafter “MATRIX”) of the MetaReal Group is pleased to announce the start of its “Hatsum?de” Metaverse World creation contest on DOKODEMO Door ( https://dokodemodoors.com/en/ ), the company’s reality Metaverse platform.

By creating real-life VR content introducing the traditional first visit to a Buddhist temple or Shinto shrine of the Japanese New Year, etc., to users of the platform from around the world, contest participants in the contest can win cash rewards, with the winner receiving 100,000 JPY.

Participants

The contest is open to anyone who can create their own “Hatsum?de” first visit real-life Metaverse World.

How to Participate

Create a World by uploading footage of “Hatsum?de” shot with a VR camera to the “DOKODEMO Door” platform. (https://dokodemodoors.com/)

• The maximum video size is 30GB. Videos can be of any length, but around 30 minutes is recommended.
• Resolution should be between 4K and 8K. There are no other conditions or restrictions.
• For the World category, please select “Festival.”
• Please add “Hatsum?de” to the beginning of the World title.
• Please set the World fee to “Free.”
• Set the World to “Public.”
• It may take from 1 to 4 days to complete the video upload, depending on server load. Please allow plenty of time when uploading.

Contest Period

Until Tuesday January 31, 2023

Prize Money

100,000 JPY for the best World (1 winner)

50,000 JPY for the Worlds judged second and third best (2 winners)

*Metaversers from around the world will determine the winners.

Announcement of Results

The results will be announced on the DOKODEMO Door platform in February 2023.

Winners will also be contacted through the email addressed registered in their DOKODEMO Door account.

*Metaverser: A user who creates a metaverse space (World) or holds an Event on the DOKODEMO Door platform. Anyone—creators, enthusiasts, businesses—can become a Metaverser for free.
