Nourish your muscles with a glass of protein shake, daily

Unless you want to lose out on your hard work, a spoonful of whey in milk/water is what we highly recommend.

Why? Because. it comes from cow’s milk that is the richest source of essential amino acids, is easily digested and absorbed by your tummy.

In fact, studies show that men and women who take protein after their workout tend to retain their muscle mass longer, recover faster and build stronger.

Here are some other reasons that in no way will make you skip your daily intake of whey:

Your stressed tissues, muscles and bones are in good hands

If you don’t eat protein before and after exercising, your body that is in need of BCAAs start eating up your muscle. This way you lose your muscle gains and your metabolic activities become sluggish, resulting in low energy levels.

Your body gets healthy nutrients

Whey is loaded with good fat, anti-oxidants and nutrients that keep you full and satisfied.

Whey is digested at a slower rate and your body uses more energy to break this protein down, burning more calories and maintaining your weight.

Finally, your body is recharged

Whey stimulates protein synthesis, helping your muscles to build and re-energize. Also a glass or two of whey shake daily shouldn’t leave you worried as it is low in fat and carb content.

But don’t go all the whey

Even though the idea of mixing whey into everything – breads, smoothes and desserts seems tempting but please use it with a touch of moderation. Say if a scoop provides you 20g of protein, you must start with half a scoop twice every day to meet half of your protein requirement. The rest should come from greens, grains and meats.
