On the 19th of July Omnis Records will present their first event, "The New Wave."
This event is set to be seen as a phenomenal chance for the artists to showcase their talents, and there will be plenty of artists to see. First up is Nova Wave, the musical alter ego of Omnis Records co-founder Miguel Cristovao, his seamless transition between smooth vocals and aggressive rap make for an excellent combination that leaves you wanting more. Next is Blind Mic, an exciting Manchester musician whose single "like me" evokes vibes of other huge artists such as Rex Orange County while also feeling fun and original with his jazz sound. Joining them on stage will also be NINO, a young Manchester rapper who’s seen a huge rise since the turn of the year after releasing various singles, and they will also be joined by Lucas Kane, a singer/rapper with an acoustic sound, and Rootz who will be performing live for the first time.
Omnis Records themselves are a local record label based out of Worsley, they’ve mostly worked behind the scenes recording for artists and filming music videos but The New Wave represents a huge step for this young record label and a colossal opportunity to enhance their reputation among Manchester’s elite music community. Co-founder of Omnis Records had this to say of the event, “We’ve been dreaming of this opportunity for such a long time and to finally have it come to life is a phenomenal feeling, now we’re just focused on providing a night people will never forget.”
