Oneview Healthcare PLC Announces New Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand

SYDNEY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Oneview Healthcare Plc today announced that Colin Hackwood is joining the company as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand effective immediately. Colin brings over twenty years’ experience in healthcare from nursing to infrastructure delivery and operational management. This newly created leadership role will be key to capitalising on the opportunities in the Australian market where Oneview is seeing first-hand the post-pandemic acceleration of digital transformation.

Prior to joining Oneview, Colin was Planning Director at the Victorian Health Building Authority where he led infrastructural planning and implementation projects. Prior to this, Colin was Director & Health Lead for New South Wales with Aurecon Australasia. Colin has also held a number of operational leadership roles with Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar, as well as infrastructure project directorship roles for Queensland Health.

Colin started his career in nursing, having completed his Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Southern Queensland. He practiced as a Registered Nurse in Australia and in the UK before moving into healthcare-focused NGOs, and then healthcare infrastructure management.

James Fitter, Oneview’s CEO, commented, “Colin brings a unique blend of experience including as a nurse, as an operational leader, and as an infrastructure planner and program director. He has a deep understanding of the clinical and operational challenges that our product portfolio addresses. The timing couldn’t be better for Colin to take the helm in Australia, with the current focus on digital transformation and operational performance.”

Colin remarked, “I’ve experienced healthcare from many perspectives, as a nurse, as a hospital executive, as an infrastructure director, and as a patient and parent. I believe Oneview’s Care Experience Platform is uniquely placed to support a better patient and family experience, to help relieve the burden on nurses, and to support digital transformation and operational performance for healthcare organisations. I’m delighted to join the Oneview team here in Australia, to serve our Australian customers, and grow the business.”
