Reliance Jio 4G Services all set to launch in Dec 2015

Reliance Jio 4G ServicesAs per the reports from different sources Reliance Jio is all set to launch their much awaited 4G service across India by Dec 2015. Reliance has promised to deliver ultra cheap 4G services in India starting December.
According to Zauba, an import data tracker website, nearly 5 lakh sim cards have been imported by Reliance in the last month, which confirms the impending launch of the 4G services in the country. The sim cards have been imported fromChina to Delhi and carry a per unit price of Rs 19. Majority of the units were imported in October itself, which proves that Reliance might have been conducting some tests before the actual launch.

In next few years, there will be marginal difference between 3G and 4G tariffs as well as there will be decline in smartphone prices that may lead 2G subscribers leapfrog to 4G services and skip 3G, analysts expect.

"We expect 4G net adds to be faster than 3G net adds by FY 2019 and estimate 3G subscribers to be largely restricted in areas where 4G coverage is limited.

"However, we do expect 3G subscribers uptake to be strong for the next couple of years, at least, as 3G coverage would likely be better than 4G coverage," the report said.
