RMB Capital’s Shareholder Proposal (Share Buyback) Gained 14% Support at Musashi’s Annual General Shareholders Meeting

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–RMB Capital (“RMB”), a Chicago-based independent investment advisory firm, is a long-term shareholder of Musashi Co., Ltd. (7521 JP, “Musashi”) and owns approximately 5% of the firm’s total outstanding shares.

RMB had filed a shareholder proposal (Proposal #4) for Musashi’s 99^th annual general shareholders meeting, held on June 26, 2020, to buy back common stock of 61,000 shares, maximum 100 million yen. Despite the limited number of minority shareholders at the firm, RMB’s proposal gained 14.3% support from attending shareholders.

RMB intends to keep engaging with Musashi’s management to improve the shareholder value.
