Edinburgh-based tech startup Anomalous has joined the NVIDIA Inception program, which is designed to nurture startups using AI to revolutionize industries.

Anomalous develops intelligent inspection tools that use advanced AI to help engineers identify defects and assess damage to products. Inspection plays a key role in the quality assurance and regulatory compliance process for safety-critical engineering parts used in applications like jet engines and offshore oil platforms.

Anomalous already uses NVIDIA GPUs to power their deep learning-based AI models that can locate defects and assess damage to parts and products. Anomalous software creates photo-realistic computer renderings of parts and uses these images to teach the AI how to identify parts and assess damage on its own.
