SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP Exams Accessible in Korean and Arabic for the First Time

Human resource professionals in South Korea and Arabic-speaking countries will now have the opportunity for a complete testing experience in their native language

ALEXANDRIA, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is proud to announce the addition of the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP®) certification exams to include a full testing experience in Korean and Arabic.

In partnership with linguists from Comms Multilingual of the United Kingdom and several multilingual SHRM members, the SHRM Certification team has been working for the past year to translate the full testing experience to broaden its accessibility globally. The translations also included comprehensive bias and cultural sensitivity reviews by native speakers and SHRM-certified human resource experts.

“Expanding SHRM’s global presence in these key areas of growth is monumental as we work to elevate human resources across the world,” said Alex Alonso, chief knowledge officer, SHRM. “Represented in more than 165 countries, SHRM has been historically well-recognized across the globe. Investing in these translations will provide international SHRM members and human resource professionals the opportunity to continue developing their careers and expertise, without language barriers.”

“Human resource professionals in the APAC and MENA regions are eager to expand upon their commitment to HR by being able to take the SHRM certification exams in their native language,” said Achal Khanna, chief executive officer, SHRM India, APAC and MENA. “Recognized across the globe, the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certifications are more than just exams—they are about learning and professional development that takes place throughout the life cycle of each individual’s career.”
