How It Compares
Compared with generic 2.5‑inch SATA SSDs that cost ₹3,000‑₹4,000, the JetDrive kit offers a much lower entry price while still delivering 495 MB/s read speeds, which are on par with mid‑range drives. Samsung’s EVO 860 250 GB model provides slightly higher endurance but is priced over ₹6,000, making Transcend the budget‑friendly choice for MacBook Air owners. Unlike bare SSDs, this kit includes an external USB‑3.0 enclosure, adding value for users who want to reuse the original drive. The only downside is the 240 GB capacity, which may feel limiting for power users needing large media libraries.
