Smarter Business Adds Further Strength to Its Management Team with the Appointment of Andrew Taylor as Sales Director

Haywards Heath, United Kingdom, September 11, 2019 –(PR.com)– Smarter Business announced that it has appointed Andy Taylor, former Head of Indirect Sales at npower, as Sales Director. Taylor assumes his role at Smarter Business on 9 September 2019.

Taylor joins Smarter Business from npower, where he has worked for the past five years. Taylor has a distinguished career in the sector, starting out as part of the broker account management team with the newly-formed independent supplier economy power. Andy was a Senior Account Manager for the company when it was acquired by Powergen. The subsequent acquisition of Powergen by E.ON saw Taylor head up the newly re-launched Third-Party Intermediary (TPI) channel within the SME area. He continued in this role until being recruited by npower as Head of Indirect Sales in July 2014.

Smarter Business Commercial Director Helen Grove says: “We are fortunate to have someone of Andy’s calibre and experience on the Smarter Business team. Andy has a proven track record within the TPI industry, and his innovative approach and work ethic have delivered consistent results and success.”

Grove continues: “I have worked with Andy for over ten years, and a large part of who I am today is due to his commitment to mentoring me and passing down his wealth of industry knowledge, management style, dedication to transforming the TPI industry and sheer enthusiasm for what he does.”

Taylor says: “From the supplier side, I have admired the enthusiastic, professional and customer-caring approach taken by the whole team at Smarter Business; making them so successful in a short time. I am thrilled to be joining a group of people that have achieved so much, and I look forward to growing and accomplishing even more.”

Taylor’s pre-sales experience will see him working closely with key stakeholders at Smarter Business to embed and define the company’s 2020 strategy and vision.

“Andy is here to help us along our journey towards ensuring that Smarter Business becomes the top-ranked TPI in the industry. Recruiting someone of his calibre and track record sends a clear message to all of our partners, suppliers and competitors about our plans to continue growing our business,” Grove concludes.

Smarter Business is set to embark on a programme of expansion and will be making further appointments in due course to support its ambitious growth objectives.
