Sogo & Seibu Co., Ltd.: Regarding our company’s executive personnel change

TOKYO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sogo & Seibu Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sogo & Seibu”) has decided to appoint Mr. Davide Sesia as Executive Vice President today.

With the new management structure, Sogo & Seibu will strive to satisfy customer needs even greater than before.

Born in Milan, Italy in 1967.

Since coming to Japan in 1992, he has gained extensive management experience at the Japan branches of several overseas fashion companies.

After serving as CFO at Benetton Japan, he held the position of Representative Director and President of Prada Japan in 2000, overseeing Japanese and international subsidiaries, including Miu Miu and Church’s, among others.

Having been doing business in Japan for about 30 years, he is well versed not only in the Japanese language but also in Japanese culture and business.

In recognition of his contributions to the fashion business, he was awarded the “Cavaliere” of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in 2010, and the “Ufficiale” in 2020.

Davide holds a degree in business administration from the Catholic University in Milan.
