SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA- Media OutReach Newswire – 8 May 2025 – St. George’s University (SGU) School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, is now accepting applications for its Fall 2025 intake, welcoming prospective medical students from South Korea to apply for the upcoming academic year.

As the largest provider of doctors into first-year US residencies for the past eleven years, with over 1,035 residency placements in 2025*—SGU offers an international medical education designed to address the global physician shortage. The Korea Economic Institute revealed South Korea’s physician density stands at about 2.5 doctors per 1,000 people, which is below the OECD average of 3.6.
