Taiwan’s IoT Service Hub accelerates manufacturers’ speed-to-market for Industry 4.0 innovations

TAIPEI, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IoT Service Hub brings together the best of Taiwan's tech talents, enterprises, and industry-leading technologies to help manufacturers and inventors bring their IoT product to market in a faster and more cost-effective way.

In the past six years, the IoT Service Hub has launched ten AIoT model evaluation boards (EVB) with Taiwan's IC technology as the core. IoT Service Hub supports 500+ IoT projects and 100+ have been brought to market. Also, the solutions have helped many key industries in Taiwan complete smart industrial transformation. Some examples include remote care technology in isolation wards under the Covid pandemic, and power monitoring technology to assist traditional food factories to reduce carbon emissions and reach the goal of Net Zero Emissions.

Leveraging Taiwan's IC NB-IoT technology to promote remote maintenance services for traditional equipment industries

The IoT Service Hub launched the DSI 2598 (NB-IoT) solution based on MediaTek's IC MT2625 to accelerate the R&D of auxiliary devices with plug-in design for different types of equipment. It is easy to install, small in size, and cost-effective. Thus, it can efficiently accelerate the realization of remote monitoring for industrial use. Till now, the solution has been widely adopted by many different products, including generator supplier, air compressor supplier, and energized oxygen machine supplier, etc. The solution has thereby assisted many enterprises in the private sector to achieve the goals of smart management and monitoring in an economical way, and to improve the quality of maintenance and operation services.

Flexwave's "Arc-solar" Box Helps Solve the Issue of IoT Energy-Harvesting with Two-Fold Power Generation Efficiency

Energy-harvesting is an issue which has garnered global attention lately. To solve this problem, one of the companies on the IoT Service Hub, Flexwave (specializing in flexible waveguide photovoltaic technology) found a solution to effectively improve the power generation efficiency of solar panels. Flexwave introduced waveguide photovoltaic technology to the silica gel for the silicon solar panels.and also dedicated huge efforts to building an AIoT power platform. During the R&D process, to find the most suitable communication solution for the product, Flexwave contacted the IoT Service Hub, which later matched Flexwave's needs with Sintegration Corp., which provides the best communication module solution in Taiwan. With this technological breakthrough, the Flexwave team was able to complete product development.
