The Human City Design Award That Looks for Good Designs Around the World Selects the Grand Prize Winner and Hosts Its 3rd Award Ceremony at the DDP

SEOUL, South Korea--(BUSINESS WIRE)--#AccessibleBeaches--Marking its third anniversary, the Human City Design Award hosted an online award ceremony at the DDP on 21st March and selected House of Dreams for its Grand Prize winner. The Award is an international award program that selects design projects that benefit people, society and the environment.

The House of Dreams designed by the Insitu Project is a project to create a village community space using an abandoned cave located in Dengfeng (Zhoushan), Henan, China with wastes in the surrounding area. The community space includes guest rooms, amenity facility, shared kitchen, dining room and exhibition space. Moreover, its surface displays stories of individual residents from over 100 villages in the vicinity who participated in waste collection and construction.

Along with the Grand Prize winner, the third Human City Design Award also selected the following best practices as winners from various countries, including Goyohan Taxi (Goyohan M) (CO:ACTUS and SK TELECOM, Korea) which assists safe driving and smooth communication between passengers and taxi drivers with hearing impairment, OOZOORO1216 (EUS+Architects, Korea) which created a dedicated space for Tween generation aged between 12 and 16 by the participation of Tween users, Accessible Beaches (No Barrier, Turkey) that enabled the elderly and people with disabilities on wheelchairs to enjoy the beach more conveniently, and Gardens in the Air Neighbourhood Lights (Nomad Garden S.
