Toyoda Gosei to Launch UVC Personal Space Disinfector and Deodorizer

KIYOSU, Japan–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. (TOKYO:7282) will begin selling a “UVC Personal Space Disinfector and Deodorizer,” which uses deep ultraviolet (UVC) LEDs that can effectively eliminate viruses and bacteria, in August 2021.

Toyoda Gosei is developing and selling products that purify air or water with UVC LEDs. This personal UVC space disinfector and deodorizer captures airborne viruses and bacteria in an internal filter and kills them with UVC irradiation. It can also deodorize air using a photocatalyst that effectively breaks down odorous substances. This compact, portable device features a USB power source and so can be used with computers and anywhere there is a USB port for personal spaces both in office settings and when on the move.
