Trio-Tech signs Joint Venture Agreement to Provide Burn-In and Systems Level Testing

VAN NUYS, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Trio-Tech International (NYSE MKT: TRT) today announced that it has signed a Joint Venture agreement with a Chinese company located in Suzhou, China; with expertise in System Level Testing (SLT). The new joint venture company will provide testing and burn-in services for a variety of semiconductor components with applications in computing and automotive electronics. Trio-Tech and the other party to the joint venture agreement are currently in the process of establishing the new joint venture company.

S.W. It differs from structural and functional testing of semiconductor components by including a performance evaluation of the components when tested together as integrated systems and installations,” added Mr. Yong.

Mr. Yong also noted that Trio-Tech will hold a majority equity ownership position in the new joint venture company and said the joint venture company expects also to provide testing and equipment maintenance services for its customers.
