The Ranker provides insight into the Top 150 Podcasts as well as the Top 150 Australian-Made Podcasts, the Top Publishers in Australia, and the Top Sales Representatives in Australia from 1 February through 28 February 2023, as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service. The month of February had 80.5M downloads.
The Top Podcast Ranker and Top 150 Australian-Made Ranker are ranked by monthly listeners, in accordance with the latest IAB Podcast Technical Measurement Guidelines.
For this reporting period, the top three publishers were ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia again at #1, LiSTNR (SCA) climbing to #2, and SiriusXM Podcast Network at #3.
This month, we introduced two new publishers to the Australian Ranker, The Squiz and The Shameless Girls.
For this reporting period, the top three podcasts for both the Top Podcast Ranker and the Top 150 Ranker included The Kyle & Jackie O Show (ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia), climbing to #1, Casefile True Crime (Audioboom) at #2, and Mamamia Out Loud (Mamamia) at #3.
The Kyle & Jackie O Show (ARN’s iHeartPodcast Network Australia) experienced a spike in listener and download volume in February, due to additional consumption of episodes focused on the ‘Married At First Sight’ TV show currently on-air in Australia.
The Top Podcast Ranker had several debuts from Shameless (The Shameless Girls), Squiz Today (Squiz Media), Aunty Donna Podcast (LiSTNR (SCA)), Stolen Hearts (Wondery), and more.
For the Top 150 Australian-Made Ranker, new podcasts included HER with Sophie Cachia (Mamamia), The Sting (Podshape), SBS On The Money (Special Broadcasting Service), Footy Talk – Rugby League Podcast (LiSTNR (SCA)), and more.
