Truecaller introduces TrueSDK : To Help Apps Verify Users Via Phone Numbers

Since 2009, Truecaller has been an evolving app, and very involved in helping our users become more in tune with their calling experience. People are picking up their mobile phones and becoming excellent communicators simply by using Truecaller, Truedialer, and Truemessenger. Country by country, barriers to knowledge are quickly eroding with the advancement of the internet and apps. It is only natural that our ability to recognize who wants to get in touch with us should be clear and true.

It is also only natural that with our evolving suite of apps, we offer an even more advanced way for developers to get involved, and easily onboard their own users for their creations.

Today we announce TrueSDK, which enables registered third party apps to easily onboard users with their Truecaller profile and verified phone number. This service can be used by developers to offer sign up, update a user’s information, or purely verify the user’s phone number based identity in their mobile apps through user consent.

The mobile number has a powerful importance when it comes to personal identification; some might say it is one of our most personal possessions that we carry everywhere we go. They are quickly becoming the primary personal identity to verify users in the global mobile arena. App Developers are looking for ways to minimize friction in user onboarding and engagement flows. TrueSDK gives developers an opportunity to fulfill these needs and overtime bridge offline and online identity gap.
