Vietnam Construction Industry Report 2022: Real Term Growth of 8.5% Expected through 2022 – Outlook, Project Analytics, & Latest News and Developments 2017-2021 & 2022-2026 – ResearchAndMarkets.com

DUBLIN–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The “Vietnam Construction Market Size, Trends and Forecasts by Sector – Commercial, Industrial, Infrastructure, Energy and Utilities, Institutional and Residential Market Analysis, 2022-2026” report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com’s offering.

Vietnam has maintained its growth projection for the construction industry in 2022, with the industry expected to grow by 8.5% in real terms this year, supported by investment in the renewable energy and transport infrastructure projects.

The construction industry registered a strong performance in Q3 2022, despite headwinds, with construction activity growing by 13.8% year on year (YoY) in Q3 2022, following an expansion of 5.3% in Q2 and 3.3% in Q1 2022, according to General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO).

Over the remainder of the forecast period, the publisher expects Vietnam’s construction industry to register an annual average growth rate of 8% between 2023 and 2026, supported by the government’s focus on the development of the country’s rail and road transport and energy infrastructure, coupled with investments to develop affordable housing.

The construction of Ho Chi Minh City’s 454km of transport infrastructure by 2025, at a total cost of VND266 trillion ($11.4 billion), and a 98km ring road connecting the capital city of Hanoi and two neighboring provinces at a cost of VND83.2 trillion ($3.6 billion) are expected to underpin the transport sector’s outlook.

In addition to this, the Power Development Plan Eight (PDP VIII) for the period of 2021-30, with a vision towards 2045 and the government plan of constructing 1.8 million affordable houses by 2030, are expected to add further support to the industry.
