You register on WeTime as a couple and complete the registration and survey together. After entering a few preferences and areas of interest, WeTime will begin searching for the perfect match for a "double date."
"We noticed that there really is a need for a friendship platform like WeTime," says Sietse Schelpe, the initiator of the site. "Many people have forgotten how to make friends. Or they move, and they notice that free time for their social life is quite limited. We want to give those people a helping hand through WeTime."
Schelpe continues by saying, "People with a large circle of friends and a busy social life do not need a site as ours, and for young people there are sufficient alternatives. But for couples who just want to enjoy life with each other and their children, there are few opportunities to get to know new people. With WeTime, we create a safe and easily accessible environment to do fun things together. A nice dinner, an evening at a cafe, to a amusement park with the whole family are all possibilities."
The WeTime platform operates with an internal currency known as WeCoins. By sharing photos or sharing about personal experiences through the platform, couples are able to gain WeCoins. These can be exchanged for fun gifts, such as hotel stays, wellness packages, discount coupons or other surprises.
