Xiaomi has launched its next-generation foldable and its first flip Android phone, the Xiaomi Mix Flip, alongside the Mix Fold 4. According to News18, both devices are equipped with top-tier flagship features, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and Leica-branded camera systems. The release marks Xiaomi’s official entry into the clamshell foldable market with high-end camera hardware.
In the entry-level mobile segment, HMD introduced the Nokia 2360 Flip 2G phone. Built specifically for senior citizens, the feature phone comes with family assist tools, parental controls, a dedicated SOS button, simple physical keypads, and distinct colour choices. Mint reported that HMD designed the handset to provide basic calling and safety functions for older users who do not require smartphone operating systems.
Samsung’s foldable lineup continues to generate attention ahead of upcoming release cycles. Tipster Panda revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to launch in July or August alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7. As reported by Hindustan Times and Digit, both upcoming models will feature significant updates to design, pricing, and technical specifications. The Financial Express noted that early teasers position the Z Flip 7 as a potential pinnacle of clamshell engineering, while reviews in The Hindu highlighted how the series continues to merge style with smart functionality. This follows the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which Indiatimes reviewed as a compact, feature-packed flagship that pushes folding phone design boundaries.
For shoppers seeking immediate deals on current models, older Samsung foldables are seeing steep price cuts. Digit reported that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 has received a direct price discount of over ₹14,000 across major retail platforms. For existing owners of previous-generation hardware, display repair costs remain straightforward under enrollment plans. Chris Thomas, writing for Android Police, noted that replacing a damaged screen on a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Z Flip 4 costs $29, provided the device owner is enrolled in Samsung’s official care program.
Flexible screen hardware trends are also active in personal computing. Business Standard reviewed the Asus Vivobook S14 Flip laptop, highlighting its vivid OLED touchscreen, multi-mode 360-degree hinge mechanism, and solid battery life. However, the review noted that the system’s fixed 8GB RAM memory constraint severely holds back daily performance and limits key artificial intelligence features.
Beyond consumer technology hardware, political leadership in Washington saw a structural flip following recent election outcomes. A Democratic victory in the U.S. House of Representatives will reshuffle party leadership in Congress, according to Reuters. The Hindu reported that Representative Hakeem Jeffries is poised to become the first Black Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. C-SPAN documented the congressional transition on November 4, 2026, during its Washington Today video broadcast.
