Xiaomi Redmi 3 Expected to Launch on Jan 12th, 2016

Xiaomi is all set to launch Redmi 3 on a special launch event on 12th Jan, 2016. Xiaomi’s Redmi series is one of the most successful series in India.�The teaser image also included an image that showed the rear of the handset featuring a textured back panel. We can expect to hear more about the new rear panel design from Xiaomi at launch.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 last week reportedly passed Tenaa, the Chinese telecommunications certification authority, with some innards detailed. Bearing model name Mi 2015811, the listing confirmed most of the specifications such a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution TFT display; an octa-core CPU under-the-hood clocked at 1.5GHz clubbed with 2GB of RAM; 4G LTE support; a 13-megapixel rear camera; 5-megapixel front-facing camera; 16GB of inbuilt storage; expandable via microSD card up to 128GB; 139.3×69.6×8.5mm, and weigh 143 grams. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and is said to come in Silver colour variant.

As per the leaked details, Redmi 3 feature a metal unibody design with Mi branding at the back. Rear camera along with an LED Flash. The front was seen featuring capacitive navigation buttons for settings, home, and back. The right panel purportedly showed that the Redmi 3 would pack all physical buttons on the right panel.
