Beechwoods Software (Beechwoods), a leading supplier of software technology and services for IoT with deep domain knowledge of embedded systems, will be showcasing EdgeX inside the AMD booth (booth #1-360) at Embedded World. EdgeX Foundry is an open source project that offers an interoperable platform and ecosystem of plug-and-play components to unify the IoT edge computing marketplace. Beechwoods, an active member of EdgeX Foundry, has integrated EdgeX on the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded platform and will be supporting AMD customers for their IoT Gateway and Edge Computing software.
“The AMD Ryzen Embedded processor provides the performance and capabilities required to securely manage analytics at both the edge and in the cloud,” said Brad Kemp, President at Beechwoods.
“We’re excited to see the growth of products and solutions developed within the framework of the EdgeX foundry like Beechwoods has done with the AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000 processor,” said Stephen Turnbull, director, technical marketing, Embedded Solutions, AMD.
The demonstration will simulate an industrial application utilizing the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded V1000 as the Edge Gateway device, and the reference solution based on EdgeX is immediately available for product development. EdgeX Foundry is now part of LF Edge, a recently launched umbrella organization to establish an open, interoperable framework for edge computing independent of hardware, silicon, cloud, or operating system. Beechwoods Software is one of the 60 global founding members of LF Edge. To learn more, visit https://www.lfedge.org/.
