Eleven flights were cancelled at Chennai airport as Cyclone Murasu affected operations, The Hindu reported. The Times of India and DT Next carried the same toll and pointed travellers to affected routes and flight numbers.
Cyclone Murasu put immediate pressure on the airport’s schedule, with 11 flights called off. The reports named the cyclone and the cancellation count, not a wider suspension of departures. For passengers, the concrete problem is fewer options out of Chennai until operations stabilise.
Travellers flying from Mumbai’s Terminal 2 should mark November 19. The airport will close for six hours that day. The runway closure is limited to that window, but flight schedules may be adjusted around the affected period. The closure is a scheduled operational pause, not a cancellation list by itself.
Adani Airports met foreign airlines about moving international flights out of Mumbai’s Terminal 2 to Navi Mumbai airport, and the meeting ended inconclusively. Carriers asked for more details before agreeing. The Indian Express reported that Emirates and Air France are resisting after Indian carriers pushed back. Indian carriers account for 3 million of the 5 million passengers MIAL wants out of Mumbai airport by March 2027.
MIAL presented redevelopment plans and proposed temporarily shifting international traffic accounting for five million passengers per annum to NMIA. Airlines are seeking more time. In a separate meeting with the Airline Operators Committee, the airport said IndiGo, Air India and Akasa Air have finalised plans to move international operations. The gap is now between domestic carriers that have settled on a plan and foreign carriers that want a clearer picture first.
Pune Airport scored 4.98 out of 5 in the Q3 2026 ACI ASQ survey and took first place among 16 AAI airports. It outperformed the global average despite capacity constraints. The service score arrives while cost pressure is still being argued in public: Times Now reported IndiGo’s chief executive flagging high airport charges and seeking tax relief for airlines, and also noted IndiGo’s current lack of fuel hedging, with the airline saying it needs a policy review.
Outside India, the BBC reported calls for a “severe” deterrent after a drone disruption at Jersey Airport. The Independent reported Greenland hopes a new airport will open the “City of Icebergs” to tourism, but not to Trump. Both stories are smaller than the Indian operational picture, but they keep the same theme in view: airports are managing weather, drones, costs and capacity at the same time.
