Incident Management Month 2018 Kicks Off Amid Period of Rising Workplace Injury Rates

The annual IMM campaign aims to provide EHS professionals resources for improving incident management process and to connect practitioners from varied vertical industries in topical conversation.

Glasgow, United Kingdom, November 01, 2018 –(PR.com)– The third annual Incident Management Month campaign will begin on November 1, hosted by leading EHS software provider for SharePoint, Pro-Sapien. The month exists to celebrate and explore one of the cornerstones of EHS management with specially curated articles, a survey, and a webinar.

There has been a steady increase in workplace illness and injury in recent years. The scope of what is considered an illness at work is also changing: awareness of mental health at work has notably increased. However, the National Safety Council reports that the jury is out on whether mental health should be part of an EHS practitioners responsibility. (The opinion poll remains open at the time of writing with 51.31% for Yes.) The progressing landscape of what constitutes an “incident” calls for frequent review of processes.

Incident Management Month 2018 will bring together various viewpoints for the EHS audience to consider. Followers can keep up to date with the campaign on the IMM information page (https://www.pro-sapien.com/resources/events/incident-management-month/) or by taking part in the #IMM2018 Twitter hashtag.

Of the 2018 campaign, coordinator Hannah Stewart commented:

“We started Incident Management Month in 2016 to offer EHS professionals a sort of ‘hub’ of related, helpful content. Since then, we’ve featured a selection of great thought-leadership pieces that have been read by thousands.

“Managing incidents is just one part of an EHS professional’s job but it takes up a large chunk of time; if we can help make the process more efficient and productive by delivering new ideas to our audience, then Incident Management Month has been a success.”

Previous years have seen contributions from the NSC’s John Dony, industry expert Shawn Galloway, and Doctor of Social Psychology Rob Long, among others.

Pro-Sapien invites EHS professionals to take part in the 2018 campaign by sharing their thoughts in the comments section of articles or on social media posts on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
