Kontext Media, Inc. Launches Kontext Media Vista 2.0 Stand-Alone Digital Signage Software Solution

Kontext Media, Inc. today announced the launch of its Kontext Media Vista v2.0, a cost-effective, stand-alone digital signage software solution.

Toronto, American Samoa, June 21, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Geared toward the stand-alone digital signage segment, Vista 2.0 enables both retail and service businesses to deploy locally controlled digital signs displaying content and advertising. The application resides on relatively inexpensive and accessible computer technology and enables operators to schedule content in multiple formats including FlashTM and MPEG files. Information is displayed on LCD, plasma and LED products of various sizes.

With over 65% of retail decisions by consumers still being made in-store, Vista facilitates the influencing and education of customers within the context of their buying decision. Kontext customers vary in size and include food and clothing retailers, bars, restaurants, hotels, auto dealerships and service organizations including medical clinics. Applications include product, service and loyalty program promotion, time-based sales, consumer education and redirection.

A simple, cost-effective signage solution is the key to adoption of this technology by small- and medium-sized firms, said Albert Ferrer, Kontexts Vice President of Business Development. The ability to operate and maintain their own stand-alone system without having to obtain hours of technical training or employ highly skilled operators are key for businesses for whom expensive, complicated software is a major barrier.
