Promote healthy eating habits because there’s no alternative to maintain a healthy weight. Healthy eating habits should include:

  • Eating sufficient amount of fruits, vegetables and whole-grains
  • Eating lean meats, fish, poultry, beans and lentils
  • Choosing non-fat/low-fat dairy products or milk
  • Drinking plenty of water
  • Having standard-sized servings
  • Limiting consumption of saturated fat and sugar
  • Limiting intake of sugar-rich beverages
