Ministry of Human Resource Development announce new Scholarships Scheme

The Ministry of Human Resource Development has been implementing the “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students” through the State Education Boards. To bring awareness amongst target group, the State Education Boards have been uploading the information about the Scheme in their website and also advertisements are brought out in the regional dailies. The Scheme is being implemented on the National e-Scholarship Portal under the Digital India Initiative. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has informed that they have been providing widespread publicity to their various scholarship schemes by giving advertisements in National Dailies, Employment News and on UGC website. The UGC also has an exclusive link ‘e-SARTS fellowship’ on their website to cater to various scholarship schemes where the students can apply online.

This information was given by the Union Human Resource Development Minister, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani today in a written reply to a Lok Sabha question.
