New York Geek Girls Uses the Enterprise File Fabric for Service Providers to Provide, Differentiate and Enhance Their Use of Amazon S3 Data Services

After an extensive product selection, New York Geek Girls adopted the Enterprise File Fabric over a year ago. They provided it as a packaged offering to customers as a value added product bundle for use with existing data services.

London, United Kingdom, March 27, 2019 –(PR.com)– Storage Made Easy (SME) today announced that the New York Services Provider, New York Geek Girls (NYGG) has deployed and are using their Enterprise File Fabric Service Provider edition.

New York Geek Girls is an IT consulting and cloud services provider centered out of New York that provide a “virtual” IT department for companies in New York, New Jersey and beyond. New York Geek Girls required a content management solution that enables their end customers to securely work with their company data which is stored in Amazon S3 Object Storage. To facilitate this requirement, for the last year, the company has been using the Enterprise File Fabric by Storage Made Easy.

With the File Fabric’s Application layer, NYGG customers have easy secure access to their S3 stored data from any desktop, or mobile device. The solution provides integration into Active Directory and LDAP Identity Management Systems, home drive integration into users desktops, an easy to use but sophisticated web file manager and ultra secure collaboration and file sharing controls.

The Enterprise File Fabric solution has a strong focus on Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) in which it provides FIPS certified encryption of data, using customer provided keys, on any of the 60+ on-premises and on-cloud file storage solutions it supports. The File Fabric provides a central point of enforcement for governance/compliance policies and the auditing of all file events (“who,” “what,” “when,” “why,” “how”).

It provides the Windows interface our users are already comfortable with, as well as powerful advanced web-based features. Security and auditing capability are enterprise-class, and technical support, on the rare occasions when we need it, is uniformly knowledgeable and highly competent.”

Doug Soltesz, Product Solutions Director, said: “The Enterprise File Fabric is a perfect fit for service providers like Roberta and the NYGG team. The Service Providers Edition (SPE) is a multi-tenant and scalable solution that allows MSP/ISP to take advantage of cloud-based compute and object storage. About Storage Made Easy (SME)

Storage Made Easy provides a multi-cloud data management and data protection product called the Enterprise File Fabric™ that unifies on-premises and on-cloud company storage assets in addition to standalone products that bridge desktop and cloud, such as operating system native cloud drives and cloud explorer applications.

The File Fabric provides cloud-like economics across a company’s storage portfolio, unlocking the benefits and cost-efficiency of its data assets whilst providing strict controls and governance for legislative compliance and security concerns such as ransomware attacks. Existing site-based storage infrastructures can be transformed into an on-premises private cloud, delivering a storage-as-a-service model to the company. Local storage can be connected to public clouds, expertly managed by the File Fabric as a unified hybrid cloud storage platform.

The File Fabric solution offers a “blanket” that companies can privately apply to wrap around all their data: on-premises, within a public cloud, or on a third party software vendors’ cloud (SharePoint or Salesforce for example). Customers can use the File Fabric for security, encryption and control with a focus on compliance regimes such as GDPR, HIPAA, FERPA and GBLA.

Customers include one of the world’s largest social media companies, and also one of the largest global retailers, in addition to global internet service providers, universities and international government and governmental bodies.

The company is backed by one of the largest alternative asset managers in addition to entrepreneurs in the London market insurance industry, who have previously successfully sold their company to a listed peer.
